I have found that not only is how you apply the bronzer important, but also your skin tone and the kind of bronzer you use. I am very pale and have had little success with bronzers that are only one shade as these can go on looking blotchy and un-natural. What I have found works better is to use one that has variations in color plus some shimmer. I use one of the Shimmer Bricks from Bobbi Brown. They come in several color varieties, depending on the look you are going for and your skin tone. I purchased mine last year at Christmas time and I use it almost everyday and still have not "touched metal" at the bottom of the case. I also use it as eyeshadow and have received many, many compliments on my eyeshadow! I also heard that you should apply your bronzer in a E formation forehead, cheeks, chin. This is what I do and I also you use a great bronzer brush that I purchased at Sephora. Hope that helps!
Are you talking about a self-tan liquid bronzer that is like self-tanning or a bronzer that you can put on over your make-up?
If it is the self-tanner bronzer make sure you ex-foliate your skin and that it is lightly moisturized before you put it on. You won't get streaking.
If it is the powder or gel for your face I just put a little on over my foundation and it gives my face a nice glow. Buff on with a brush if it is powder or rub in lightly with a gel. I really like the powder bronzer for your face better than the gel.
Does anyone have any "fool-proof" methods on applying bronzers?? I'd love to try them, but in the past, everytime I did, it looked awful. Maybe I'm applying them incorrectly. Any hints?
