I'm with you Dixie - I have stopped even trying to get a fake bake "beige" (I can't even call it a tan). Just call me Snow White!:-D

I'll start by saying, I'm sorry to everyone whom I've blinded recently with my lily-white legs! LOL. I've tried so many self tanners, spray on tans, etc and they all look really weird on me. I burn really bad in the sun, so lily-white it is!

Orange is so not my color. While the urge to get a natural, healthy looking color is in me, I'm currently not willing to spend the money or take the time to try this. So I'll stay pasty, thanks!

Having someone spray tan me sounds like a better idea for sure.

I thought it might be hard to breathe in one of those tanning booths with the sprays coming at you. I'd be okay with someone spraying me as long as it did not look orange too.

I tried a tanning booth spray, but found it hard to breathe with all the sprayers coming at me.:O It gave me some color (not orange or streakey) as I am very fair. I did it for a wedding I was going to in the winter. My sister-n-law gets sprayed by a woman in a salon, but I think she gets a color that is too dark/orangey for her complexion.

I know this thread is about home tanning but I was wondering if anyone has tried the spray on tan at a salon. I am wondering how long they last and do they look natural.

I tried a self tanner long ago and came out orange and streaky too. My hands were also orange. I did not want to go out for a week :O. Have you tired one of those professional tanners? They look like they give nice color. Not sure if that comes off on furniture and sheets.

I tried a self-tanner. Once.

My hands turned bright orange and I swear I looked like someone sprayed me with day-glo!

Needless to say... I'm sticking to my natural color! LOL

No luck for me. I always turn orange. I must be too pale to get any kind of color. Oh well pale is in now right?

I worked in a tanning salon for 9 months. Self-tanners are a waste of time, and tons of people used to come in asking what they can do to correct the streaks that they have. To get the best results, go tanning 2-3 times a week for 1 month. If you use a lotion that has bronzer in it that will speed up the process. I recommend using lotion such as "Tao" or "Worship" by Designer Skin. Be careful choosing a bronzing lotion though. If you come across one that says that is has more than 2 bronzers, such as 3x, they will make you orange!

I really like the Neutrogena MicroMist Sunless Tanning Spray. I'm really pale, and I don't tan at all. It goes on pretty sheer (I use the level 2), but maybe that's because I only spray a light layer on at a time. But I'd rather build up color gradually than try to spray it on thick and get streaks. I haven't had any problems with it coming off on my clothes or sheets (though I usually put it on in the morning).

I was really hoping someone was going to say yes. My legs just don't tan as well as the rest of me. I guess that is because they are in the pool. I just don't want to have to lie out in the sun but I don't like my white legs and don't want to wash the sheets every day. Ok.....I am just going to count the days until fall lol.

The first time I tried one of those I had it all over me, streaks and goop everywhere and then woke up the next morning and it was all over my sheets. Yucky. I never tried another one.
